Lattice Mani

Erm...my sister called this the "spiderman-i". Lol! -__-"

Anyway, this lattice design was really simple to do since it was pretty much just straight lines of beads criss-crossing the nails. However, it was extremely time-consuming and actually took me 3 hours just to complete my left hand. >_<

This mani was inspired by a design in Nail Up. They used sequins for the entire design, but I didn't have all the different sizes needed so I just used what I had and what I thought would look good. : )

Here are the three easy steps to complete the mani! (We shall just skip the million tiny steps that occurred in between. Lol!)

1. Paint the base colour. This could be pretty much anything, just whatever that makes you happy!
2. Glue on the sequins so that they are aligned accordingly for the lattice pattern. I also used pearls for this mani....rhinestones can also be used as an alternative. : )
3. Glue on the silver beads in between the sequins to complete the design. It's as simple as connecting the dots! (Why didn't I think of this earlier?! Life would've been so much more "fun"! Lol!)

  6. What a lovely manicure. It's such a lovely look. Would be perfect for a wedding or an important engagement. You must have an incredible amount of patience. I hope you leave it on as long as you can after all that work.

  8. So pretty and elegant...just a beautiful look. Well done - you'll get faster the more you work with the beads. :-)

  13. Hi:

"I love nail polish" and I love that "white and jeweled lattice pattern" and the step by step on how to do it. It's just more than gorgeous if that is possible, your nails are so beautiful and amazing.

This would look great on any bride or bridesmaid going to a wedding and match her wedding gown or a white party where everyone has to wear white. Or anyone who wants a different look. LOL So cool.

    (((((Love)))))

  14. gildedangel- Thank you! If only the mani doesn't that long to do, i'll be wearing this everyday! : )

Mary- Thank you! I love it too! I must practice working more with the beads so I can be faster at sticking them on. :D

AllYouDesire- Haha..now that I come to think of it...it didn't really take me that long. It's just because of the fact that I had to go outside and take pictures of it once it a while. So I guess that kinda delayed the whole process a bit. : )

paintedladyfingers- Thank you! I didn't get a chance to wear this manicure for too long because I didn't have the patience to do my right hand. I thought it'd be really awkward going out and walking around with only one of my hand done so I removed it not too long after I took the pictures. Oh well...at least I have these lovely pictures to look at. : )

Pinkginger- Thank you! The manicure didn't actually take that long..it's just that I had to go outside and take pictures for every step along the way. : )But this is definitely a lot more time-consuming than a regular mani where I can just slab on some fast-drying top coat and hurry out the door! Lol! XD

Lucy- Thank you Lucy! I think I should wear this mani for my wedding! Haha..but I don't think that'll be anytime soon since I'm still so young...definitely not in the near future. Lol!

MM- Thank you! The mani wasn't that much work now that I come to think of it. It's just that I wasn't used to working with the bouillon beads and I didn't have the proper tweezers. I'm sure it'll take the pros a lot less time. : )

Jamie D.- Thank you! I'm trying to practice, practice, and practice with them so I can be faster at glueing them on. I'm sure it'll take you only 1/10 the time it took me. Lol! : D

May- I always do my thumb! *cough*

naily- Thank you dear! *Kisses back*

Danielle- Thanks Danielle! I totally agree with you! Especially with the pearls and rhinestones! : )

Kelly- Thank you! Haha I think I might have exaggerated a bit since I also included the drying time and the time it took for me to go outside and take pictures. The whole mani probably took...an hour and a bit? But that's still really long compared to a regular mani so nevermind. Lol! :D

The Princess of Polish- Thank you dear! Oooh..and welcome back! I missed you so much! : )

  18. Hi Wan! I've stumbled upon your blog and your nails look fantastic! And the photos with the step by step tutorials are too cool! Thanks for the blog, it's very entertaining...

May I ask you where do you buy your nail sequins or konad plates? I especially love your lattice design (9/27 post)...I'm having a tough time finding and buying nail supplies here since i just came back from Hong Kong where they were selling everywhere. Please let me know, I usually go to Secret Nail Supplies on Kingsway & Knight.
