Essie Shelter Island

Photobucket
All I can say is WOW! I never imagined falling in love with a vibrant sky blue creme like Shelter Island. It was the first polish of its colour that I ever owned and it really surprised me! :D I kept on staring at my nails when I first wore it, it totally distracted me from doing anything else. XD All the other blues that I have are either dark, navy blue or baby blue, I don't have anything in between like this at all! : )

I bought this polish along with Greenport and Sag Harbour from Essie's North Fork Collection. (It's the first collection where I got all of the polishes. Haha! XD) I can't wait to swatch the other two colours as well, they both look so pretty in the bottle! : )

OPI Banana Bandanna NL D27

Photobucket
I loveee Banana Bandanna! The colour is so pretty and flattering, it is a soft and buttery yellow creme that requires four coats for maximum coverage. Banana Bandanna seems to have subtle shimmer in the bottle, but it dries to a glossy creme when applied to nails. OPI just recently released this polish in their summer collection, SUNbelievable, so it should be easily accessible if you like the colour. = )

I'm absolutely in LOVE with yellow nail polish! It's the hottest colour this season! I will be swatching a couple more yellows soon so please stay tuned if you would like to find the perfect shade for yourself this summer! : D

OPI DS Divine Japanese Version DS 005-JP

Photobucket
Here is the Japanese version of OPI DS Divine. This polish is totally different from the one that has been released to the rest of the world under the same name. This is a holographic purplish pink that has large specks of silver glitter in it whereas the other version is a holographic dark pink. My sister bought this beauuuty for me on our recent trip to Tokyo! She's the BEST SISTER EVER!<3(I hope you'll see this L.L! LOL! = D)

Below is a bottle comparison picture of the two versions of OPI DS Divine.

I used four coats in the pictures as the polish is somewhat sheer and patchy. I will be using it to layer on top of other colours in the future or just simply use it for nail art. :D The closest polish I have in my collection is China Glaze How About A Tumble. However, it is a tad bit pinker than Divine and the specks of glitter are relatively smaller in size as well.

Some pictures and swatches of Divine and How About a Tumble...

OPI Strawberry Margarita NL M23

Photobucket

Strawberry Margarita is one of my favourite hot pink cremes, it is my go-to colour for a bright summer pedi. I don't think I like it as much on my hands because it makes them look dirty, but I'm sure it'll look great if you have fairer skin. : )

This polish was first introduced in OPI's Mexico Collection in 2006 but it has since been added to their regular line, so it should be readily available at all salons and beauty supply stores.

Here are some pictures! :D

China Glaze For Audrey

Photobucket
Here's China Glaze For Audrey, which is inspired by the colour of Tiffany blue. I think I finally understand why there is such a craze over this polish. It's sooooo unique and beautiful!! The first time I had For Audrey on, I didn't like it at all. I thought it didn't match my skin tone and that the colour was a lil too awkward. Maybe it's because that was during the wintertime when bright colours never look right to me. LOL! So yesterday, I decided to give it another try and OH MY GOD! The colour is so GORGEOUS! For Audrey is not the exact colour of Tiffany blue, it is a little more muted but the two shades are very similar indeed. : )

My First Post!

Hello everybody! Welcome to my blog! I'm starting this blog to showcase my love for nail polish! It will feature reviews and photos of various polishes from my collection. I have just recently began this addicting hobby so there are still a lot of skills and techniques for me to learn. I hope more of you will be able to discover how WONDERFUL nail polish truly is. It is the easiest thing you can do to accessorize your outfit, allowing you to stand out and create an unique difference. : D

To begin, I just thought it would be more meaningful for me to start the blog with my all-time favourite polish...DHC NA 08. It is a pale pink that leans towards a very light lavender with microshimmer throughout. The polish is quite sheer, I had to put on four coats for the bottle colour. However, it applys like butter and looks good no matter how many coats you have on. Very, very pretty!

P.S. Look at the cute bottle too! :D
