OPI Osaka-To-Me Orange NL J09

Today, I'm going to show you all the nail polish that started my obsession. :D

I fell in love with Osaka-To-Me Orange after choosing it for my pedi colour at a salon last summer. It was a really bold colour for me to wear at the time because I normally don't venture out of my sheer pinks. However, I loved how bright and happy it looked on my toes; it made me realize that I can actually wear "unusual" colours like this one! (Lol! Yes, orange was considered unusual. XD)
From then on, I started following a lot of nail polish blogs and also joined the MUA nail board where I received a lot of expert advice from the wonderful ladies there. My love for nail polish has been unstoppable ever since and my collection has been growing at an alarming rate like never before. : D

The formula on this one is rather runny and requires three coats for bottle colour. This polish was released in OPI's Japanese Collection back in 2005. However, I believe it is still available at most e-tailers if you like the colour. : )

Nautical Themed Nail Art

Wow...it's been forever since I last posted. I have been studying for my final exams in the last two weeks and didn't get a chance to do anything else. >_< (Okay fine...maybe I'm exaggerating a bit...I'm sure I took some coffee breaks. XD) Anyway, I'm really glad I'm finally done! :D

At the moment, I'm in Hong Kong visiting my parents so I may not be able to update as frequently. However, I have a couple of swatches saved up from the past little while so hopefully I can post them up whenever I get a chance to! : )

Anyways, I have been loving the nautical trend of late and was dying to try this design out. I saw it in a Japanese nail magazine called Nail Up. Unfortunately, I don't know if I like the end result as much because it looked really thick on the nails. I think I used up to eight coats of polish at the tips.

Essie Shelter Island- sky blue creme
Dollar Store Silver Glitter- it's the same one I used for my Minnie Mouse manicure : )
OPI Alpine Snow- for the stripes and outline of the anchor
OPI Big Apple Red- anchor
