If you follow me on Twitter, you would've heard me raving about this polish a few days ago. =D
Blue India was released awhile ago in MAC's Give Me Liberty of London Collection. I passed on this polish when I first saw it because the shade didn't really appeal to me. I'm all about wearing pastels in the Spring! Anyway, I started seeing a lot of beautiful swatches on MUA and on other nail polish blogs so I knew I just had to give it a try. I was extremely lucky to find a few lonesome bottles in need of a new home since I had heard that it was pretty much sold out everywhere.
I'm really glad MAC improved the formulas for their nail polishes. Blue India is very pigmented and opaque in only two thin coats. It is very creamy and smooth to apply. I own a couple of other MAC polishes such as Peppermint Patti, Seasonal Peach, and Dark Angel and have application issues with all of them. They all end up to be one big streaky mess. Thus, I sincerely hope that MAC will stick with their new formulas to justify for their increasingly steep prices. =)
I think I'm slightly obsessed with taking indoor photos now! The lighting makes my skin look so smooth and perfect! LOL! Anyway, I've decided that I'll also include a indoor photo for every swatch that I do from now on for comparison purposes. This way, you'll have a better idea of how the polish looks like in different lighting! I hope this will help with your purchasing decisions! =)

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today looking at some nail swatches on Nailgal.
You have beautiful nails! This MAC polish Blue India reminds me a lot of OPI Suzi Say Feng Suai. It's really pretty.
