Peaches!

Hi ladies! How are your weekends so far? I hope they're awesome!
Today I have a comparison of some peach polishes to share with you all! ^o^

From left to right: Claire's Dreamsicle, Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Patrick, Pa A83, and Finger Paints Ripe Peach

Swatches are in the same order as the bottle pic above.

I felt like the sunlight picture didn't depict the colour of the polishes good enough, so for comparison purposes I took another one in natural light. *gasps* This is just so not me! Lol! I never swatch unless the sun's out! But what do you ladies think? Do you like pictures in the sunlight more? Or are you fine with natural light? XD

All four of these polishes are fairly sheer with the exception of Ripe Peach. Despite the sheerness of Dreamsicle and Starfish Patrick, they both glide on very smoothly and appear to have a jellyish quality to them. Both polishes needs four coats for bottle colour. Pa A83 was my problem child! The nail line was still visible after piling on coats after coats of polish. But then again, it might have been made to be worn sheer. Soo...I don't know, I still like the colour though! Ripe Peach is the most pigmented of the bunch and has a fine shimmer to it; opacity is acheived in three coats.

  3. Oh Ripe Peach is really pretty! I think I like the color of the Pa best... but that kind of sheerness would drive me insane lol.

  4. I do like peach polishes, I think the look gorgeous and so summery! My favourites out of the four are RBL and Finger Paints polishes, I like the pinkness they have.

  5. Your nails always look pretty! I too like the peaches with a bit of pink too, but I can't be bothered to do 4 coats of anything, and I hate how sheer polishes look.

  11. Brooke- I love the Claire's too! It's a lil more pastel looking eh? It looks like candy, makes me so hungry every time i look at it!<3

Asami- That's a very lovely colour too! It seems to match my skintone the best! I'm really glad you enjoyed the post because I'll be doing a couple more of these in the VERY near future! I should really study for my finals though! Lol! =D

Catherine- Yeah, I totally get what you mean! I almost pulled all my hair out when applying that polish! LOL! I gave up at the end and just started slabbing on really thick coats! XD

Kelly/PlaneBeauty- I love peach polishes too! It's such an unique colour to wear! It's more interesting than the pinks, yet it's still really subtle!

glitterM- Thank you! My nails look different all the time though cuz I'm still learning how to file them properly even though it's been so long! Teeheehee! I don't like sheer polishes either, but sometimes I do like the jelly qualities they have to them. =)

And thank you so much for nominating me for the Sunshine Award! It totally made my day! You're so sweet! I <3 you!

GerryBerry- Yeaa! Ripe Peach was from their summer collection last year i think! This is like the first time i ever swatched it on my nails since i bought it at sallys. I agree! Fingerpaints doesn't get enough love! They actually do make great polishes, it's just that they're not widely available. =(

    May Lee- Heh...i'm so spoiled!

Anonymous- Thank you! Is it because the polishes you're using are a lil dried up? If so, you can always try adding a few drops of nail polish thinner to them. Note that it's nail polish thinner and not remover, they're not the same thing. If that still doesn't fix the problem, then I would suggest applying a thick layer of topcoat to smooth everything out! I <3 topcoats! They fix all imperfections on the nails! I hope this helps! =)

*Anita*- Thank youu! I knoww, it's always so nice to find another Canadian blogger! You're from Vancouver too right? You've got such an amazing blog! I actually didn't purchase the RBL polishes here. My very lovely friends went to NYC last year and picked these up for me! They're truly the BEST!(I hope you see this guys!) Anyway, I think there used to be a salon that sells RBLs, but unfortunately I believe they don't carry them anymore. =(
