Circle Lenses Review: Dueba DM23 Brown

Circle lenses seem to be quickly emerging in popularity recently. They are cosmetic lenses that enlarge the iris making the eyes appear bigger and more dolly-like. It seems like everywhere I go, I see people wearing them. =O

I personally don't wear these on a regular basis, it's only when I wanna look somewhat "different" for the day or when I run out of my normal contacts. Moreover, they make me look like I'm sixteen. Haha I'm not saying that's a bad thing by the way but still!

So I just thought I'd do a review on my favourite lenses (even though I only have three pairs...hehe! XD)

Quite a difference eh? I ♥ before and after shots!
What I like most about these Dueba DM23 brown lenses is the fact that the pattern on them looks really natural. They're also very comfortable to wear and don't dry up the eyes like some lenses tend to do. n_n

So what are your thoughts on these? Do you like the look of circle lenses? Will you be trying them out or are you a big fan already? Let me know what you think! =D

  1. They look super cute on you! Too bad I have to use lenses to actually see, or else I'd totally try cosmetic lenses. :)

  3. I think cosmetic lenses look cool, but I'm not really attracted to wearing them myself.

  4. circle lenses look so great, and a lot of fun. I wanted to buy several pairs like two years ago. My main issue is most reviews/pictures are on people with brown eyes and since mine are medium blue I don't know how well they'd look on me.
Most contacts made for people with brown eyes don't look very nice on me, or dont show at all. A good example is colorblends amethyst which show no change in my eyes.
So I've just kind of held off.

  5. I really like how they look on you. I am not sure I'd go as far as wearing them myself - maybe they're more for young scenesters? I just worry about eye safety though. Are they medically safe to wear?

  8. Call me crazy, but I really like your eyes without the circle lenses. :/ They're just absolutely beautiful!

  9. They look great on you =D It kind of balances out your big eyes :P

I'm always amazed by your photographs... Like how the lighting/colour is exactly the same in your before after, and always so bright and crisp. xD

glitterM: I know NYT had a kind of scandal article about circle lenses... But they are as safe as regular contact lenses (since they are the exact same thing anyway except with the outer limbic ring coloured.

  10. I love your eyes before and after. When the lenses are a natural shade, its nice, but when they make the pupil larger ...its weird :)

  12. Omg where did you buy these? I tried to find dm23 brown but the design is different now. It's much darker and less natural! I liked the old design better! Where did you purchase yours?"

  13. I bought three pairs several months ago but I don't often wear them because I end feeling uncomfortable and my eyes are very tired at the end of the day =/
