China Glaze Up and Away for Spring 2010: Part II

Photobucket

Lemon Fizz- Pastel yellow creme. This beauty is opaque in three coats. Although the formula is a little on the thick side, it is relatively easy to apply and does not display any signs of the yellow nail polish syndrome. YAY! : )

Oh my! I've been in loveee with pale yellow shades lately. I recently saw a beautiful swatch of Maybelline Banana Puddin' and my lemming for it has officially returned. I've been checking ebay everyday but it's nowhere to be found. :'(

Happy Go Lucky- HAPPY FACE YELLOW! =D Super bright and HAPPY! Also opaque in three coats.

Photobucket

Something Sweet- Baby pink creme with a touch of lilac undertones. Love this shade, it's so cute and girly yet it's also very bold and stark. This one surely makes the nails stand out! This was a dream to apply, three coats. ^-^

Photobucket

Light as Air- Very very light lavender creme. The colour on this one is so light it kinda looks like it's almost grey to a certain extent. Very pretty and feminine. Two coats. : )

These were sent to me for review.

China Glaze Up and Away for Spring 2010: Part I

Here's part I of the China Glaze Up and Away Collection...

Photobucket

Peachy Keen- A light peach creme.  Although this polish is very pigmented, three coats were needed to even it out on the nails since the formula is rather thick. Nonetheless, it's still a very lovely shade! = )

Photobucket

Sugar High- Super bright hot pink creme. A perfect shade for the summer! Three coats.

Photobucket

High Hopes- A very bold and vibrant orange-toned coral creme. The application was awesome; the formula is very smooth and has a jelly-like consistency to it. High hopes dries to an incredibly glossy finish; swatched with two coats here. =D

Photobucket

Heli-yum- Medium raspberry creme. A very pigmented polish, only one coat is needed for bottle colour. Yes! I mean ONE COAT! Woohoo! No clean-up necessary at all. Amazing formula!

These were sent to me for review.

Meet Miga the Sea Bear!

Woohoo! Three more days left until the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics! In honour of this spectacular event, I have created a manicure featuring one of the mascots: Miga the Sea Bear!

Photobucket

For the manicure, I applied three coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom and OPI Gargantuan Green Grape over Essie Marshmallow. I love how these polishes create a soft and watery effect when layered together. I topped off the mani with China Glaze Fairy Dust for an extra holographic sparkle! Miga was painted with a whole bunch of polishes including Wet N Wild Black Creme/ French White Creme, Misa Be My Lover, Orly Mint Mojito, Essie Shelter Island, and OPI Osaka-to-Me Orange. ^-^

About Miga (from the official website): Miga is a young sea bear who lives in the ocean with her family pod, beyond Vancouver Island, near Tofino, British Columbia. Sea bears are part killer whale and part bear. (Miga is part Kermode bear, a rare white bear that only lives in British Columbia.)

I can't wait until the Olympics! Even though I'm not going to any of the events, it's still extremely fascinating to live in the host city and have people from all over the world come to town! I'm going to have all my Olympic gear ready and attend the torch relay on Friday! Teeheehee! XD So are you ladies excited for the Winter Olympics? Any events that you're looking forward to watching? = )

Canmake Colorful Nails Lemon Cream #11

Photobucket

I picked up Lemon Cream on my trip to Tokyo last April. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Canmake, it is a Japanese drugstore brand. I read on other beauty blogs that their products are usually hit-or-miss. However, I can't seem to make up my mind about this polish. I love the colour and all, an adorable cool-toned yellow with a touch of honeydew, but at the same time the application was a nightmare. My nails were still patchy after four coats... But then again, this is typical of all yellow nail polishes...so I don't know. =P
